Are you ready to cut through the hype of this season that always leave us exhausted and broke at the end of the year? Are you tired of the busyness and overspending and advertisements that keep trying to rob us of the peace and joy of this season? Are you ready to remember and reclaim the true center of the Christmas Celebration? Then you do not want to miss our Advent and Christmas Series.
We’ll be engaging a church wide study of the book, “Christmas is Not Your Birthday.” If you’d like to join a group, then let us know in the office or see Allison Wind.
If you can’t join a group but still want a book, let us know, we have books available at both services.
In the meantime, here’s the series line-up:
12/3 - Expecting a Miracle
12/10 - Giving up on Perfect
12/17 - The Scandalous Love
12/24 - A New Wish List

"Kingdom of the Son - A Prayer Safari"
July 17-21, 2017, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Children love adventure. They are attracted to the thrills of exploring the unknown and encountering the unexpected. At "Kingdom of the Son", you and your students will embark on a journey into the pages of God's Word and will discover the greatest adventure of all--- getting to know God. Through exploring the Lord's Prayer, children will learn to talk to God and will be encouraged to develop a personal relationship with Him.
Each session children will learn a memorable phrase that emphasizes what Jesus taught us about God through the Lord's Prayer. We will learn that "God Listens", "God Provides", "God Protects", "God Forgives", "God Rules". Each day, they will discover exotic animals, create safari crafts, play exciting games and enjoy safari snacks as they seek to know God through prayer! Your kids will have fun learning and making lots of new friends here at North Charleston UMC!
